Pricing and Policies

Goats are a herd animal and need a companion. Please have a friend available for your new goat. If you need a companion, we offer discounts on multiple kids!

Deposits of $200 per goat are required to hold your goat.

If you choose not to proceed with the purchase of your kid, any deposit or payment is non refundable but can be transferred to an available kid.  

We require full payment if you are wanting a buckling wethered (castrated) to have as a pet. We will not wether until full payment is received. 

Our practice is to disbud (removal of horns) all kids which is done when the kid is first born.  If you prefer for your kid's horns to be left intact please let us know immediately as horn disbudding occurs early on.  

A receipt/purchase order will be provided upon payment of a deposit.

Full payment must be received on or before the pickup day.

If you would like your goat registered we will allow you to choose your name and will then register it with the Miniature Silky Fainting Goat Association.  Only goats that have been chosen through the waiting list will be allowed the opportunity to have a name chosen by the buyer.

It is unpredictable when we will receive the registration documents.  If they come after you have picked up your goat then we will mail the registration documents to you.

All prices are based on a number of factors and characteristics including level of myotonia, conformation, eye colour and hair length.

All goats will be vaccinated, dewormed, deloused and will have their hooves trimmed.

A pickup date will be determined.  If pickup or further arrangements haven't been made within 7 days of the agreed upon pickup date, the kid will remain the property of the Veasey Family Farm and any interest in the kid will be void.

There is no guarantee on the development of any physical characteristics or the development of myotonia.

Goats can be shipped through the Edmonton International Airport however the buyer will assume all costs for shipping and the purchase of a crate to have the goat shipped in.

Payment is by cash or e transfer.

We have found that our kids go very quickly every kidding season.  Some of our customers just want to be aware of when kids have become available while some are serious about wanting their next family friend!  As a result we've come up with two different categories for our waitlist and notification list.

The waitlist....If you want to be sure you get your kid....

In order to ensure first selection we require a $100 deposit.  This deposit this gives you first access (in the order that deposits were received) at the conclusion of the next kidding season and includes a few options.  Depending on when you notify us you may be able to choose one or more of the following:

- Select the breeding pair

- Select the gender and physical characteristics (colour) of your kid 

- Select the kids registered name (following our naming guidelines that will be provided when appropriate or upon request)

The notification list...If you want to be notified about who is available...

In order to be notified of who is available or who matches your interests in a kid simply send us an email and you will be notified of which kids become available at the end of our next kidding season, prior to any kids being listed for sale.  All persons on the notification list will be notified when the kids are available regardless of the order they were received.
